Cigarette prices witnessed today, Sunday, August 13, 2023, a remarkable stability at the beginning of the day dealing with local markets, in conjunction with the crisis witnessed by cigarette prices in recent days due to several fluctuations and the excessive rise in the price of cigarettes from wholesalers and retailers, although the eastern smoke company did not announce any increase in prices.

Hani Aman, CEO of the eastern smoke company "eastern company", revealed the date of the end of the crisis of rising cigarette prices in local markets, expecting the return of the cigarette market to normal within 3 to 4 weeks, against the background of the decisions decided by the company in order to control the markets.
He continued:"all the measures are together, you will get things to improve gradually, the beginning will be from the good week, and we will see the result as well as why consumers decide to change their habit, and why traders accept a reasonable gain".
Aman revealed during a telephone intervention on the "last of the day" program, via the "An-Nahar" channel, that the company is taking some measures to control the market, which are:
1-launching additional quantities of cigarettes on the market starting next week, as about 150 million cigarettes will be launched per day, i.e. 8 million packs of cigarettes, an increase of about 20-30% from what is currently being offered on the market.
2-communicate with the regulatory authorities with all the company's sales, price lists, merchants and quantities supplied to them in order to monitor the markets.
3 - "Aman" appealed to consumers to change their habits and not to worry about buying and storage, which increases the pressure on the markets and raise prices.
The CEO of the eastern smoke company predicted that these measures would return cigarettes to their official prices, or at least be higher than the official price by about 4 pounds at most.
