Cairo-Mubasher: al Sharqiya – eastern company announced the application of new prices on two types of cigarettes from the company's products as of Saturday.
The company explained, in a statement to the Egyptian Stock Exchange on Sunday, that the price of a pack of cigarettes of both Viceroy and pal Mal pack number (20) will be increased to 35 pounds.
The eastern company decided last month to increase the prices of all its products, including cigarettes, cigars, honey, pipe smoke and hair, after the company's Board of Directors approved the new price list for the consumer price.
The New increase for cigarettes ranged from two pounds to 3 pounds per pack, making the price of (box 10) 15 pounds, Cleopatra king size 23 pounds, Cleopatra soft coin 24 pounds, Boston/bloomant 24 pounds, Cleopatra box (white/colors) 24 pounds, Cleopatra super to 24 pounds.
The Mondial (Red/Blue/Silver) also became 24 pounds, the Mondial switch (menthol/blueberry) 24 pounds, Cleopatra black 24 pounds, Matossian super 24 pounds, Viceroy/pal money 33 pounds.
It is noteworthy that Eastern Company achieved a profit of 3.48 billion pounds during the period from July to December 2022, compared to a profit of 2.92 billion pounds in the comparative period of the last fiscal year.
The company's revenues increased during the first half to EGP 9.93 billion, compared to revenues of EGP 8.53 billion in the comparative period of the last fiscal year.
The company said that good data was recorded, but with the challenges of continuing to achieve these results in the coming period in light of high production inputs and the continuous increase in costs.
