The eastern smoke company “eastern company " begins to solve the cigarette crisis by pumping about 150 million cigarettes a day in the market, starting today, Wednesday, with the aim of increasing the volume of production, to reach a balance in the markets for its various products, especially cigarettes.
This came after the government intervened to solve the problem of shortage of cigarettes and doubled their prices in the market, according to Hani Aman, managing director and CEO of the company, who added that increasing distribution rates will contribute to covering demand, as well as it will eliminate high prices on the black market, stabilize the cigarette market and prevent storage by some traders.
Hani Aman, CEO of al Sharqiya smoke company, announced that the company has increased the quantities of cigarettes distributed to the market from 25 to 30 million, bringing the total to 150 million cigarettes per day.
Hany Aman added that the company is striving to raise the quantities produced of popular cigarettes in the Egyptian market, to prevent the greed of merchants and the exploitation of citizens, while controlling the rise in prices, and stressed that the quantities produced per day are more than what is pumped daily, adding that the production process is stable with the availability of all supplies.
