Hani Aman, CEO of eastern smoke company, criticized، The high prices of cigarettes in the Egyptian market recently, pointing out that the prices are unprecedented and unjustified.
He said in televised remarks on Monday that the company does not see a justification for the prices to reach this limit, pointing out that the pack of cigarettes exceeded 50 pounds, although the company puts it at 24 pounds.
As for the solutions to the crisis of rising cigarette prices, he said that the products come out of the company to its contractors at the official price, and this is confirmed in electronic invoices and so on, adding: "the goods come out of the contractors to the market at the official price, because they are obliged to provide electronic invoices, which happens after we prove our authority".
He pointed out that the company has taken some good steps and ideas, the effects of which will appear within two to three weeks, as it will have a strong impact on the presence of products in the market and price control.
